The commander of the Sudanese army, Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, is visiting Libya

The commander of Sudan's army, General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, has visited western Libya, which is recognized by the United Nations.

Alburhan was welcomed by the Libyan Presidential Council.

The President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohammed Yunus Al Menfi, praised the short-term ceasefire agreement that was reached at the beginning of the war in Sudan.

The president added that both the warring parties are interested in coming to peace.

More than 12,000 Sudanese have lost their lives in the war that has been going on in Sudan for the past 10 months.
