The American Aid Organization has said that its support in Ethiopia has been used for an unwanted purpose.
The United States International Development Agency USAID has said that the federal and regional governments and the military units found in the whole country have benefited from the humanitarian aid provided to Ethiopia.
Reuters reported that the organization that stopped humanitarian aid in Tigray region did so because the support was not in its intended purpose.
The Ethiopian government and USAID in a joint press release said that those who gave their support to an undesirable purpose will be held accountable and they will work together to ensure that the humanitarian aid is given to the intended purpose.
When 20 million people in Ethiopia need urgent food assistance, USAID has a big role in humanitarian aid.
