Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez is said to approve a new strategy for his country's relations with Africa in the coming weeks.
The Prime Minister also stated that West Africa and the Sahel region will be given priority.
The President, who is visiting West Africa, stressed the security threat of illegal immigrants from West Africa, and said that strict security laws are needed for this.
He also stated that the Spanish government will work closely with West African countries to prevent illegal immigrants. The president is expected to visit Mauritania next.
