Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority announced that in 2015 budget year there was more than one point three billion dollars income from coffee.
In the 2015 budget year, by exporting 360 thousand 144 tonnes of coffee, it was planned to generate one point 8 billion USD revenue. By sending 240 thousand 369 tonnes of coffee, it was possible to generate more than 3 billion USD. This has been achieved 67 percent of the plan.
Saudi Arabia, Germany and America are the biggest contributors to the income received by the budget year.
It has been mentioned that in 2014 budget year 300 thousand tonnes of coffee was exported more than 4 billion dollars.
