Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will travel to the United States on May 9, according to a Turkish security official.
The official did not provide further details about the visit, but analysts said they may discuss the Israel-Hamas war, including the recently approved purchase of US F-16 fighter jets, as well as defense industry cooperation.
Recently, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Defense Minister Yasar Guler also met with the American delegation.
Neither Washington nor the US Embassy in Ankara have commented on the visit, Reuters reported.
The President's current visit is said to be the first since 2019.
