It is reported that an investigation is underway in Indomie.
Addis Admas Newspaper has read that different countries have started research on Indomine noodles which is said to contain an ingredient that increases the chance of getting cancer.
Malaysia and Taiwan have been reported to have discovered a cancer-causing ingredient called "ethylene oxide" in Indomine to withdraw the products from the market.
The Ethiopian Food and Medicine Authority stated that there is no legal registered Indomine noodles imported from abroad and that there is a product produced locally and controlled by the authority.
As soon as the case was heard, the official stated that the investigation has been done on this domestic product and stated that there is no harmful substance on the product.
