The Ethiopian Investment Commission stated that the interest of foreign investors to invest in different investment fields in Ethiopia is growing.
Deputy Commissioner of Ethiopian Investment Commission Mr. Daniel Teresa told EZA that it has been able to attract 2.5 billion dollars of foreign direct investment to Ethiopia in the past nine months.
Compared to the same period of last year, it has been reported that it has 10% better.
It has been pointed out that 168 investors have completed their preliminary work to invest in agriculture, manufacturing industry, energy, tourism and other investment options.
The commissioner has stated that an agreement has been signed with investors from different foreign countries on the international investment forum held two weeks ago.
The investors came from India, China, Kenya and other countries and pointed out that investment agreement of more than 1 point 6 billion dollars has been made.
