A 9.3-million-dollar project that will be implemented for the next 5 years has been signed.
It has been said that the project has four sectors that will focus on climate-related institutional capacity building, climate-related technology, integrated land management and expanding the source of income options.
Information from the Ministry of Finance shows that the project will be implemented in selected regions and woredas.
It has been reported that 8.9 million dollars of the money allocated for the implementation of the project is from the global environment facility and 400 thousand US dollars are from the development program of the united governments.
The finance support agreement was signed by the Minister of Finance Mrs. Semerita Sewasaw, the director of Ethiopian Environmental Protection Authority Dr. Getahun Garedew, the representative of the United Nations Development Program Mr. Turhan Saleh, the representative of Ethiopia, Mr. Turhan Salih, the Ethiopian representative of the United States, has signed it.
