The drought in the Horn of Africa has displaced more than 2.7 million people from their homes, the United Nations World Food Program announced.
According to the United Nations World Food Program report, 1.7 million people in Somalia, 516,000 people in Ethiopia and 466,000 people in Kenya have been displaced due to drought.
The Horn of Africa has experienced repeated droughts since late 2020.
The report recalled that 23.4 million people are suffering from food shortage and 5.1 million children are suffering from malnutrition due to the prolonged drought in the area.
