It is said that the reduction of donor support in Ethiopia has created a challenge in making family planning services accessible.
Minister of Health Dr. Lia Tadese mentioned that the cost of family planning services is mostly covered by donors and pointed out that the support of donors has been decreasing in recent times due to various reasons.
He said that this created pressure on his work.
The minister added that there are 22 percent of women who are not accessible while looking for the service.
The minister said this when an additional budget agreement of 36 million dollars was signed between the government and partner organizations to make family planning services accessible in Ethiopia.
