The Council of Ministers has passed a decision to declare a state of emergency in Amhara region.
The council passed this decision on the 23rd regular meeting that was held today.
The Council of Ministers has stated in a statement that the peace break in the Amhara National Regional Government is causing a huge human, social and economic damage in the region.
According to the regular law, there is a difficult situation to control the armed movement and it is necessary to declare a state of emergency the council of ministers has announced that it has voted to declare a state number of emergency to fulfill the responsibility of the constitution.
