Ethiopian heritage authority has donated 5 million birrs for the maintenance of Tigray region heritage and tourism destinations.
In Tigray region, to stimulate the tourism industry and increase the number of visitors, maintenance of heritage and tourist destinations is underway.
The Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with the heritage authority is urgently repairing and developing 21 heritage sites that are found in Axum, Adwa, Adigrat, Tembe, Geralta, Wukro and Alnejash areas that need repair.
EZA reported that the authority is working with the regional temporary administration culture and tourism office to stimulate the tourism movement.
It has been noted that the tourist flow has been slowed down due to various reasons.
