The Oromia Region Agriculture Bureau announced that 265 lime factories are being built this year.
It is said that 944 million Birr has been allocated for these.
The Regional Agriculture Bureau also pointed out that more than 57 million quintals of lime are needed to completely prevent soil acidity in the Oromia region.
It is said that the Guder lime processing plant was made to produce up to 3 thousand quintals of lime per day and so far, it has produced more than 141 thousand quintals of lime.
It was pointed out that it is planned to produce up to 300 thousand by the end of the fiscal year.
