The main reason for this change in her behavior is the war that broke out in the Tigray region on October 23, 2013, and left her with a "wound that could not be healed" even today.
"Hundreds of thousands of women have been sexually assaulted" in this war in Tigray region alone. At the same time, when the war crossed into the Amhara region, many women, mothers and sisters became victims of this attack.
"Barchum" was sexually assaulted during the war. "It is not easy to talk about this situation three years ago," she says.
During the war, Barch left her son and joined the "Special Forces of Tigrai" with her team to fight. "However, I was captured in an area called 'Chna.'
But in the middle, she couldn't continue, she didn't like to talk about her memory. Tears and sag choked her. "It's just that many things have passed, the day will pass; But forgetting does not forget,'' she told us. She told us that the sexual assault made her "mentally ill".
"It's hard for me to remember something because it hurts my mind. I'm thinking and remembering things for a long time," she said.
"While we were at war, my husband and my son's father died," she said, telling us about her other chronic pain. It was while she was pushing through her life with this overlapping problem that she heard about a charity organization called "Huyet" that supports and helps women who have been sexually assaulted.
This facility supports women and mothers who have been sexually assaulted during the war to receive medicine and treatment. In addition, by allocating 50,000 birr to these mothers, it opens up an opportunity for them to create jobs for their livelihood.
"Seeing the pain and suffering of these women has forced me to enter this work," says the founder of the institution, "Bazaar Haddush", and told us that the institution was named "Huyet" so that they could spend the rest of their lives in peace. Its meaning is "to save, heal".
We also saw other women who were sexually assaulted like "Barch" when we were in the premises of this institution.
In these two or three years, the story of women who have been sexually assaulted will be made known to the world through moving images and text. We will keep people so that they can help and support them, Ms. Bason told us. This is one of the activities of the Huyet Charity Institute.
Women in this situation do not receive treatment and also face a severe shortage of medicines. "It is a luxury for a mother to spend 1,000 Birr to buy medicine," she explains.

According to Ms. Haddush, she travels to different parts of Tigray and studies the women who have been sexually assaulted and their situation. For example, she told us that she found 550 mothers who had been sexually assaulted in an area called "Bora" in South Tigray and confirmed that "only 36" of them received treatment.
We also asked Dr. Emanuel Hailen, head of Tigray Region Health Office, how do you see this issue.
In a study conducted with the World Health Organization and the Ministry of Health, 86 percent of health facilities in the region partially; Dr. Emanuel said that 3 percent were completely destroyed. He said that this has made it a challenge to provide medical services to other citizens, including women who have been sexually assaulted.
