Ethiopian Electric Power has announced that contractors involved in power generation projects have asked for price adjustment following the foreign exchange rate adjustment.
He said that most of the projects that the institution undertakes are built by foreign contractors, so the demand comes from all.
Although the increase is expected, it is still too early to reveal the amount, the chief executive engineer Ashber Balcha pointed out.
He also explained that there is already an assumption that there may be an event that will cause a price change when the contract is signed with the contractors.
In addition to the contract, the fact that the loans taken by the institution are in dollars will put pressure on the transport, according to the reporter.
